So long, packagethief

From the crazy news department:

Remember that SvN post where DHH said they were looking for a Rails developer? Unspace’s own Jeff Hardy was summoned to back to the 37Signals office for the first time since he attended the original Building Basecamp workshop in 2004.

Originally just curious, Jeff asked David and Jason every question he could think of. At the end of the trip, he realized that in fact it was exactly what he wanted to do. What better way to contribute to some of the most visible projects on the web?

Obviously we have mixed feelings about Jeff moving on, as he has been part of the family since the early days of our company. In fact, it was a post on his blog that connected us in the first place.

I couldn’t be more grateful for Jeff’s role in my life as a friend and mentor, and we’re all proud of him. This is clearly the correct decision for him right now. I speak for everyone at Unspace when I say that Jeffrey Allan Hardy is destined for great things.
